Early Decision (Binding)
The Early Decision Program is designed for candidates who have indicated Nazareth as their top choice for college study. Candidates may submit only one Early Decision application. If admitted to Nazareth, candidates must withdraw their applications to all other colleges.
Candidates may be deferred to Regular Decision if their application is not completed by the deadline or if the Admissions Committee wishes to review the application with the Regular Decision pool of candidates. However, if a student is denied admission under the Early Decision Program, they will not be considered for Regular Decision.
The College Scholarship Service (CSS) Profile is required for Early Decision candidates who seek need-based aid. To register for the CSS Profile visit www.collegeboard.com. A preliminary financial aid package will be awarded based on CSS Profile information, pending receipt of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and income documentation. No students (including Early Decision candidates) may file the FAFSA prior to January 1. New York State residents are also encouraged to apply for Tuition Assistance Program (TAP).
Early Action (Non-Binding)
Early Action allows a student to complete an application before December 15 and receive notification on January 15. Early Action is recommended for candidates who are seriously considering Nazareth as one of their top choice institutions. An enrollment deposit to attend Nazareth is due May 1.
Regular Decision (Non-Binding)
Regular Decision applicants have the option to apply to as many colleges as they wish, and eventually weigh all offers of admission and financial aid before making a final commitment. Notification to Regular Decision candidates begins March 1. Applicants have until May 1 to make a final decision about whether to attend. An enrollment deposit will hold a place in the freshman class.
Visual & Performing Arts
Visual & Performing Arts applicants are given a longer review process due to the volume of applicants and the audition/portfolio requirements. All applicants for Art, Music, Music Theatre, and Theatre degrees must schedule an audition or a portfolio review. The date of the audition will determine the notification procedure. Learn more and sign up for an audition, portfolio review or interview.
