How can I be assigned a peer tutor?

Peer Tutors are assigned through the Academic Advisement Center and are available for most courses. To apply, print out and complete an application to request a tutor and then call 389-2871 to arrange a 10-15 minute meeting with the Coordinator of the Peer Tutoring Program.

Before meeting with the tutoring coordinator, you should review the Guidelines for Tutees. These guidelines will outline your responsibilities as a tutee, as well as answer questions frequently asked by other students.

Once you are assigned a tutor, his or her name and number will be sent to you by postal or e-mail. It is your responsibility to contact the tutor within one week of receiving this information.

You may become a peer tutor if your overall GPA is 3.0 or higher, and you have a minimum grade of B+ in the course(s) in which you wish to tutor.
