Individual Counseling
The Director, Assistant Director, and Career Counselor are available for individual career counseling appointments. Whether students are unsure of what they want to do, or would simply like to talk over some options they have been thinking about, students will find these sessions helpful. Appointments can be made by visiting the office or by phone at (585) 389-2878.
Discover
A computer-based program containing comprehensive information about different careers, as well as an interest inventory and other exercises designed to assist with the information gathering and decision-making process. Students are encouraged to make an appointment with a professional staff member prior to using this program.
Career Insider
An on-line career library that includes both career and employer information. Primarily focuses on business-related occupations, but not exclusively. Students can get a site password by emailing us at careers@naz.edu.
Help for the Exploratory Student
Career Services offers a wide variety of services to help students who are unsure of their major, or are considering changing their major. We prefer to see these students in person, but we’ve also posted some resources under Choosing a Major/Career.
Graduate School Workshop
Designed for students considering graduate school, this workshop provides an overview of graduate school testing procedures and common sources of financial aid. A proposed calendar of activities for applying to graduate school will be presented. Free practice graduate school admissions tests are offered each semester.
Career Resource Area/Print and Internet
A variety of printed materials on careers in different fields is available in our office as are general career planning aids and resource books. In addition, online career information, networking and interview guidelines are available in the Students & Alumni section of this site.
Special Programs and Seminars
Throughout the academic year the Office of Career Services will sponsor special programs designed to provide help with decision making or job search concerns. Students should watch for announcements in the Fall Workshop Schedule and NazLink, as well as their Nazareth email accounts.
