After studying printmaking at Philadelphia College of Art and Washington University, Netsky has employed lithography, etching and his own cardigraph technique as primary media. In his prints he has tended to focus on the interplay between organization and chaos found in nature.
In another realm, Netsky has served as a curator of several exhibitions, including Leaving for the Country: George Bellows at Woodstock, which originated at Rochester's Memorial Art Gallery before traveling to Chicago's Terra Museum of American Art. He has also written about artists, musicians, authors and others for a variety of publications. In his profiles he tries to capture the essence of the subject and communicate it in an engaging manner. He occasionally teaches journalism at Nazareth.
