The Graphics/Illustration (GR/ILL) major combines studies in Studio Arts, Illustration, Advertising, Graphic Design, and Liberal Arts, providing students with essential competencies for the visual communication of ideas. This combination better prepares for a broad range of career possibilities.
At Nazareth, strong drawing skills provide the foundation for studies in illustration and design. These competencies give students unique advantages in the graphic profession. Students learn to develop creative visual responses to communication problems, understand message hierarchies, typography, aesthetics, composition and the construction of meaningful images. Students become creative problem solvers and elegant image-makers.
