What makes an environment conducive to artistic expression? We believe it’s a number of things: a faculty made up of highly-talented practicing artists, a curriculum rich in fine arts and liberal arts courses, a breath-taking campus and small class size. The Nazareth Art Department offers a variety of programs that take advantage of these assets.

The State Of Photography

Arts Center Gallery Talk Announcement:

The exhibit is a sampling of the wide range of work being created by college level photography educators in central and western New York.  24 photographers are featured, representing 18 Colleges and/or Universities. The show is quite eclectic, and presents a variety of technical and aesthetic approaches to photography.  Many of the photographers utilize digital tools, while others explore historical techniques and processes.  All of the participants, however, view photography as a relevant and evolving art form that will continue to endure.

On Thursday, February 26th, three of the photographers will be coming to the gallery at 6:00 p.m. to discuss their work.  The photographers include Frank Cost and Susan McWhinney from RIT, and Romy Hosford from Robert Wesleyan College.  One or two additional photographers may also be in attendance.

********CANCELED DUE TO THE WEATHER

March 3rd - 6 PM: The second gallery talk featuring different photographers has been canceled.
