Mary Cannito '08BA, Spanish; Inclusive Education Certification Minor: Italian Colombia Cannito, a native of Phoenix, N.Y., has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship. Her studies in Spain during the summer of 2003 and medical mission work in El Salvador in 2007 have prepared her for this assignment. When she returns, Cannito plans to study for a master's degree in Spanish and begin teaching.

Clare Henrie '08BA, International Studies; Inclusive Education Certification Slovak Republic As a recipient of a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship, Henrie, a native of Naples, N.Y., will travel to Kosice in the fall to teach intermediate and advanced English to secondary school students. When she returns, Henrie plans to begin her teaching career in an inner-city school or pursue a degree in Sustainable Development or Peace and Conflict Resolution in Washington, D.C.

Jamie Lypka '08BA, French Minor: Asian Studies South Korea A native of Bohemia, N.Y., Lypka has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship. Lypka studied in France in her sophomore year and Japan in the summer of 2007. She plans to continue her studies abroad, possibly returning to France to deepen her knowledge of French language and culture after she returns from South Korea. |
