Peckham Appointed Nazareth College Trustee

Nazareth College is pleased to announce Larry Peckham is the newest member of the College’s board of trustees.

Peckham, of Webster, N.Y., is the founder of Xelus, Inc., a computer software company based in Fairport, NY.  The company was founded in 1972 as LPA Software, Inc. and changed its name to Xelus, Inc. in 2000. He holds his degree and an MBA from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Peckham and his wife Nancy recently gave $2 million to name Nazareth College’s new Integrated Center for Math and Science, and it opened in August with the name Peckham Hall. The center will play an instrumental role in leading the way for Nazareth students to receive the very best in math and science education.

He has served on numerous boards including the Center for Governmental Research, Greater Rochester Enterprise, GEVA, and the American Heart Association.  In addition, he served on the dean’s council of the School of Engineering at the State University of New York at Buffalo, chaired the open space committee for the Town of Webster in 2004, and also served at the Rochester Institute of Technology’s advisory board for its computer engineering technology program.

Founded in 1924, Nazareth College is located on a close-knit, suburban campus in the dynamic, metropolitan region of Rochester, N.Y. The College offers challenging academic programs in the liberal arts and sciences and professional programs in health and human services, education, and management. Nazareth's strong cultures of service and community prepare students to be successful professionals and engaged citizens. The College enrolls approximately 2,000 undergraduate students and 1,000 graduate students.
